If so, you are not eligible to receive federal work-study funds, in addition to a regular hourly rate.
Hours & Pay Rates
Maximum Pay Rate: $10.25/ hour Maximum Hours Per Week: 35 hours Maximum Work-Study Award for Summer: $3,230
Students living on/off campus during summer 2018 will be awarded $2,835 for summer work-study.
Students living with parents/guardians during summer 2018 will be awarded $990 for summer work-study.
If you earn more than the budgeted amounts, the overage will be considered a resources, which could impact your financial aid for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Financial aid information
Financial Aid must have received your 2018-2019 FAFSA application to determine your eligibility and/or award you work-study for the summer.
Alongside your FAFSA, the Financial Aid office uses the 2018 Summer Employment Resource Form to determine your award amount. The form will be available to you in early June 2018.
SUMMER WORK-STUDY TIMELINE
You cannot begin getting paid for summer work-study until on/after July 1, 2018. Summer work-study awards can be used from July 1, 2018 to August 26, 2018 (the last day before the fall semester begins).
If you will be working at your site before July 1st (i.e. if you are volunteering or have an internship position), please note that you cannot be paid for your work until July 1st.
