College Visions (CV) works to increase college
access, persistence, and graduation among low-income, first-generation
college-bound students in RI. Founded in 2004, CV places an emphasis on
building strong, sustained relationships with students and families, empowering
students to make informed college choices, and supporting students throughout
college to graduation.

College Access Program Assistant
Are you looking for a work-study job that will make a difference in the community and help build your professional qualifications? If so, College Visions is a great fit for you! The CV work-study student will help develop resources that will improve the quality of the program’s college counseling and facilitate program expansion. He or she will also learn about the operation of a community nonprofit and gain valuable skills.

He or she will also learn about the operation of a community nonprofit and gain valuable skills.
- Main duties: Planning and Program Implementation- supporting staff with high school student college applications, including essay editing, financial aid, and encouraging thoughtful college choices, participating in the College Success Program, promoting student and family attendance at events, assist with event planning
- Secondary duties: Organizational Capacity Building- research colleges and scholarships, and assisting with ongoing administrative support, providing minimal tech support using Word, Excel, Internet, and email
- Approximate # of Hours/Week: 6-20
- Required days/times of the week (if any): Weekday afternoons
- Semesters this position is available for: Entire Academic Year (September 2018 -May 2019)
