The mission of NAMI Rhode Island is to educate the public about mental illness; to offer resources and support to all whose lives are touched by mental illness; to advocate at every level to ensure the rights and dignity of those with mental illness; and to promote research in the science and treatment of mental illness.
NAMI offers an array of education and training programs and services for consumers, family members, providers and the general public. These programs draw on the experience of mental health consumers and family members who have learned to live well with their illnesses and are eager to help others, as well as the expertise of mental health professionals and educators. |

Office Assistant
Answer phones, enter information into data base, assist with general office management
Assist the executive director with a variety of marketing, communications and fundraising activities.
- Main duties: Assist with social media, traditional media, event coordination, fundraising and general administration duties.
- Secondary duties: General office duties, site visits to promote the NAMI program.
- Approximate # of Hours/Week: up to 20
- Required days/times of the week (if any): Flexible, 3-5pm
- Semesters this position is available for: Entire Academic Year (September 2017- May 2018)
Office Assistant
Answer phones, enter information into data base, assist with general office management
- Main duties: Answer phones, enter information into data base, compile class materials for programs, assist with general office managements.
- Secondary duties: Greet visitors, assist office manager as necessary
- Approximate # of Hours/Week: up to 20
- Required days/times of the week (if any): Flexible, 3-5pm
- Semesters this position is available for: Entire Academic Year (September 2017- May 2018)
